Rules and Regulations

  1. Inattentivess in the class and indifference in studies will be viewed very seriously. Any act which affects the discipline or peaceful atmosphere of the school will be penalised.
  2. Assignments should be completed on time and submitted promptly.
  3. A pupil suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will not be allowed to attend the school.
  4. Habitual negligence in school work, dishonesty or other acts of misconduct on the part of a student will attract severe disciplinary action.
  5. Mobile phones should not be brought into the school campus.
  6. Extend your help to keep your class-room tidy and attractive. Do not disfigure the walls or damage the school furniture or other property.
  7. While moving from one class to another, take care not to disturb other classes. Always move in a line. Students of one class are not allowed to enter other class-room without permission.
  8. Be a regular visitor to the school library and make good use of the stock of books available there.
  9. Use only refined language while conversing with others.
  10. Cultivate the habit of conversing in English within the school campus.
  11. Respect your parents, teachers and all elders.
  12. Be friendly with others in and out of school, and be ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
  13. While participating in games, never quarrel, cheat or be unfair with the opponent. Be courteous and sportsman-like with the opposing teams and with the officials.
  14. Never make fun of the old or the poor. Do not ridicule any one for having a defect or handicap which he / she cannot help. Remember the God’s hands rest lovingly on the heads of all.
  15. Maintain dignity and good manners at all times and at all places.
  16. Always be truthful and straightforward in all dealings with other people.
  17. Be calm, peaceful and pleasant; and not tense and irritated in attitude and outlook at all times.


Cleanliness and personal hygiene

Cleanliness and personal hygiene are very important aspects of life that should be encouraged from a very early age. You must ensure that your child's nails are trimmed regularly. Boys should maintain a short hair style. Shoes must be neatly polished. Students must come to school neatly dressed in uniform.

Homework and classroom assignments

Homework and classroom assignments are designed to help the students overall progress. It is very important that these assignments are finished on time. If a student consistently fails to complete the assignments their grades will be reduced accordingly. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the student does the homework on time.

Report Cards

Parents will receive progress reports after every examination. The purpose of the report card is to inform parents of their child's progress in school. Parents should sign the report card and return it promptly to the class teacher. The parent's signature indicates that the parent has seen the report card.

Address change

Parents should notify the school office as soon as possible if there is a change of address, phone number or emergency contact number. It is crucial that the school is able to contact the parent in case of an emergency.

Transport

The school vehicle will be plying within a radius of 15 kms through prescribed routes in the morning to pickup and in the evening to drop back the children. The fare rates are propotional to the distance of school from the boarding point.

Parental Co-operation

Parents are required to look into their child’s School Diary every day and see that the lessons and the homework assigned for the next day are done regularly. Remarks made in the School Diary should be acknowledged and countersigned regularly by the parents. If you feel that your child is not making the desired progress, please make it a point to discuss it with the class teacher.

Parents are not allowed to meet their children or their teachers during school hours without prior permission from the Principal. Parent Teacher Meetings will be organised thrice a year. Attendance of atleast one of the parents at such meetings is desirable. However parents are free to come to school on Tuesdays between 2.30 and 4.00 pm and meet the teachers. Parent’s co-operation is solicited in maintaining punctuality, regularity and discipline in all school functions for the better running of the school.

Birthday Celebration

For Birthdays, children can wear coloured dresses. Distribution of sweets within class is permitted. The child may contribute a book to the class library as a lasting and benefitial gift to all his / her classmates.

Snacks and Lunch

Pupils should bring a light snack for the morning break in addition to lunch. A lunch towel must also be brought to school every day to spread over the table while eating food. Drinking water should be carried in unbreakable bottles. Please do not send juice or milk to school.

Personal Items

The school does not accept responsibility for personal items pupils may bring to school. All items brought to school should be properly labelled with the name and class of the pupil.

Jewellery

Students are not permitted to wear jewellery of any kind. Girls may however wear small ear studs.

Toys

Personal toys or books should not be brought to school. If your child brings home things not belonging to them, please be kind enough to return it to school immediately.

Rules and Regulations

The purpose of the above rules and regulations is to guide and assist in providing the students, with a quality education. Students and parents are required to observe and adhere to these rules.

The management reserves the right to amend or add or modify the rules and regulations of the school as and when required.
